Travel Blog - Day 8 & 9

Once we arrived at Wendover after the expedition to Bath, we were pleased to find our accommodation for the next two nights hidden within a private wildlife garden, The Kingfisher Yurt. It was a little piece of heaven which was all ours! What I loved about it the most was that you feel completely secluded when inside the Yurt but if you follow one of the two streams within the garden, you soon arrive at Wendover's gorgeous High Street. Our glamping was especially comfortable due to the luxurious bathroom, complete with underfloor heating, a wood fire inside the yurt and a fully equipped kitchen! Why go camping when you can glamp with so many home comforts!

After our home cooked dinner, we played one of the 4 vintage board games in the yurt ( I won hehe) which were all in pristine condition! We filled up the fire with plenty of logs and had an amazingly comfortable sleep! The next morning we awoke to a bright sunny day and a little package of fresh lemon cake by our kitchen. With cake for breakfast we were well prepared for a walk to the town and a long shop in the antique store.

On our last morning in the yurt we woke up early and took a relaxing stroll around the garden before setting off back to London for a quick shop and a yummy Indian dinner.

(This one is for you Nan! I thought you would appreciate the natural fibres on this beautiful old tree!)
